The front bracket is solid, not hollow so to speak. Is that a repro? Are the other parts repros?

All of the parts are repro, and crudely done. These are not the quality repros made by the Smith's years ago. Be patient and good originals and repros will turn up.

As I'm someone unfamiliar with early Columbia phonographs, could you please describe what is it specifically about these parts that is crudely done? Thanks!

The lettering is soft in outline and poorly defined. The finishing is poor- the ring to hold the reproducer is not a true circle. Everything is too thick and heavy..
To be fair, when I began collecting these would have been considered good. At that time parts were so scarce that collectors were painstakingly drilling and splicing these shattered arms with steel hails and epoxy.
