Bought this 5 mins from my home. $250.00 I was out of town and could not pickup until the next day but got it over buyers that were trying to haggle the price.

That is quite the score! The cygnet is worth $200+ by itself!
Did you get the Model K reproducer with it? That would just add to the prize!

The main spring was broken but I had spares and just dropped in another barrel.
The machine was from the original home and belonged to the sellers Grand-dad. She never heard it play as stored in the attic after it broke.
I took the machine back to her house after the repairs and played a few cylinders for her. She was ever so grateful.
If considered more appropriate asking a Mod to move to Machines forum. Thanks

Nice - - but note the Cygnet has the early style solid mount, so you'll need the proper upper rod. Someone here should have an extra...

Are the alignment pins broken on the horn connection? It is 90 degrees off. It was nice that you took the machine back and played it for the sellers.

I had the regular crane with the spring suspension and an extra cygnet horn so I am using that setup for now. (There was no crane with the machine)phonogfp wrote:Nice - - but note the Cygnet has the early style solid mount, so you'll need the proper upper rod. Someone here should have an extra...

Fantastic buy! I paid over $300 just for a cygnet horn like that one at Stantons last year.
