If it's so close to your home, why not get it and restore it? Even in its current condition, I think that is a very good price for this machine.gemering wrote:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Antiqu ... SwfhNcsLY1

I made an extremely low offer, but am not sure what I'd be getting into.
I would need a junker that has a horn, tonearm, back bracket, and the back panels, but getting the orthophonic horn back into this one, from what I understand, would be a real challenge.
Not sure how cobbled up things are from the completely misguided previous owner.
The modern tonearm would have to be removed and a hole filled too?
I believe the interior finish on the TLP Credenzas is more blond than the run of the mill versions.

at least it looks like it's only the tone arm and horn that are missing functionally (motor and turntable etc are there)... would be worth getting into if you like it IMO

The horn is very easy to replace. It just slides out of the case once you remove the screws. The only issue is the four horizontal boards in the record storage area which may be glued to the side of the horn.getting the orthophonic horn back into this one, from what I understand, would be a real challenge.
