Correct! It is a Capehart Orchestrope Phonograph Model 31G Jukebox - LOT #91

Capehart was founded in 1927 as a manufacturer of Orchestropes, the company's take on phonographs. The company would release the Orchestrope 31G in 1929 and produce it until 1931 when the company would transform into Capehart-Farnsworth later that year. The 31G was an automatic select phonograph that could play both sides of a record. This 31G has the serial number "5701929GB", indicating 1929 production. The phonograph appears to be complete with records in the record stack for continuous play. Included is an advertisement for the Orchestrope, where a record is played for a nickel. The 31G has a plate on the back, giving the electrical specifications of "115 Volts, 60 Cycles, 150 Watts". The Orchestrope appears to have all its electronic components but is untested. The walnut exterior has some minor surface wear and scratches and the tapestry covering the speaker is in excellent condition. This phonograph comes from the Johnny Johnson/Ken Stokes Collection.

Hey Donley Auctions,

FYI, you have a VE 10-50 w/ Radio listed that is really a VE 9-55. In every detail it’s a VE 9-55 but for some reason it has a VE 10-50 ID plate. Just thought you should know.
