For some reason CL Vanouver (BC) has started presenting listings from northern Washington state in the "nearby" section.
The Washington state market is a lot busier than the Vancouver market, more listings, greater variety, and a much wider range of pricing.
Anyway, here is a nice/decent looking Brunswick Seville in Bellingham. It is missing its reproducer but is otherwise (allegedly functional). It is going at an asking price of $20 US. If one were a Brunswick collector with a hoard of spare parts and donor machines, I fail to see how one could go wrong here.

Just for interest's sake, scroll down past the local Vancouver area listings in this search on the term "phonograph."

Yes. Sweet despite its condition. I would imagine that it originally had a red covering on the outside of the case, too.OrthoFan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 12:57 pmI especially like this red Viva-Tonal portable --- https://bellingham.craigslist.org/atq/d ... 31758.htmlLah Ca wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 10:40 am Just for interest's sake, scroll down past the local Vancouver area listings in this search on the term "phonograph."

I live in a smallish 1950s house with very limited space. I am developing a fondness for potables.

Black exterior, red interior, blue turntable cloth, and someone has painted the tonearm and soundbox mask red.
To add insult to injury the motor is defective. This is no bargain. The Brunswick which started this thread is a better buy.

Except it appears to have chopped off legs...epigramophone wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 2:36 pmBlack exterior, red interior, blue turntable cloth, and someone has painted the tonearm and soundbox mask red.

Ah ... yes ... but still it is only $20. I would think still a reasonable price for parts alone.JerryVan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:22 pmExcept it appears to have chopped off legs...epigramophone wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 2:36 pmBlack exterior, red interior, blue turntable cloth, and someone has painted the tonearm and soundbox mask red.

...No, I'm pretty sure it's authentic or mostly authentic, with perhaps the exception of the turntable. Here's another, though with what looks to be a replacement sound box:

I wish they'd have shown the turntable, which I suspect would have been covered in some matching fabric.

I agree. For the parts, it's a bargain.

RE the Columbia Grafonola Portable 130, it is correct except for the reproducer. It had a black exterior, red interior, blue velvet turntable covering, red painted tonearm and Viva-Tonal reproducer. Unfortunately, they used terrible pot-metal especially on the reproducer, so most are crumbling beyond repair. I have two in bad condition that I hope to combine into one usable machine at some point. It looks so funky with all those colors that my daughter said that's one even she would like
