HUGE SCAM ON EBAY!

Post by gramophone-georg »

Check out user "Allsortts". Registered in the UK, items in Rialto California. Everything opens at $1, but read the description. See some familiar items here? Boy, I sure do!

This clown is pulling big buck listings from all over eBay. I see Jimmy O and Technogallerie listings here. Just FYI.

It's the same individual who does this repeatedly. They seem to hijack the accounts of established sellers with good feedback and set up their fake auctions. It's usually all the same items, but always a different seller account. Somebody needs to find this guy and choke him :x

BTW, if it's a lot of work, as you say, then he's not doing it for nothing! He must be bringing in some money.

I wonder if scammers are going to start (maybe already have?) using ChatGPT to code programs where they can "auto" list things at a rapid pace. Seems like a possibility because I was able to code a simple game pretty easily and I am not a coder.

And they're at it again:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=fr ... 61.l161211

EDIT....looks like the user is trying to control back of his account. Most of the $1, "don't bid on this, just send me $1,000 and I'll ship it to you" have been deleted, although they seem to keep trying to post more.
