I have one or two EMG items but i'm not an expert. (Is there a pun there some-where ?).

The last Mark IV I saw for sale made a hammer price of £750 at the 2021 CLPGS Member's Auction.
It came with both EMG and Meltrope III soundboxes.

Very interesting epigramophone.

There seems to be a lot of interest already - 22 bids: £380.70.

Of course in the final seconds some-one will place a high bid I would have thought.

I guess that it will go for at least £ 1,500 ..............................

Nothing to do with any particular EMG expertise but the case is very "weather beaten", scratched and has areas of missing veneer ie. the lid.

If you ever see my collection I prefer the phrase 'Time Worn' to 'Weather Beaten' ha ha !

Very interesting indeed.

From a personal point of view, I am not surprised.

The gramophone and accessories appear to me to be 'the makings' of a really fantastic display. I really like the 1920's so it just creeps in there, EMG gramophones seem to be a very good investment and of course, for various reasons, are pretty scarce.

Incidentally, the design of this model reminds me of my Parlophone Number 741 !

I wonder what the final selling price will be ?

It would be an easy fix from weather beaten to very nice. No major finish issues - mainly surface cosmetic...
