Introducing the new "Society News" forum -

This forum was created as a place for the various antique phonograph societies to publicize their meetings, membership matters, sales, publications, and general news. Leaders of the Antique Phonograph Society, City of London Phonograph and Gramophone Society, and the Canadian Antique Phonograph Society have showed great interest in having a place to share this information, and I was happy to provide such a venue. These societies, along with many others not mentioned, are of great value to the collecting community. I hope a dedicated section on our forum might help them disseminate their thousands of years worth of collective knowledge.

Great idea! I hope this blossoms into a well populated sub-forum!

Excellent idea. Our societies have similar objectives and the more we share between each other, the better. It's on my 'Favourites' list already.

Sir,

How does one post here? (I have a picture from a Wisc. gathering [not sure it's an official Society event] and I thought this would be the place...)

And would this be the future place to post Wayne/Union Show pictures [about the general gathering, not about a specific machine(s)]?

That's great Brandon. The more info we have available the better. Never know when we will be traveling and could attend someone else's events. Tom

Mostly board members of the various phonograph societies are the only people who can post here, just to keep things more on the official side.
