Pathé by mail order.

Post by epigramophone »

Several British firms sold machines and records by mail order, but here is a circa 1908 advertisement for Pathé merchandise.

Looks like a nice machine on offer. I wonder if it's too late to order one...

J. Girard @ Co marketed a number of Pathé machines over the years in France and it appears that some of the models were even unique to Girard as there doesn't always appear to be an identical contemporary Pathé machine available at the time in the standard catalogues.

The machine in the scan looks similar to a Pathéphone No. 4 which would actually make it one of the very cheapest models at the time, with the No. 2 being the cheapest.
