This is why I love content from phonograph Catalogs!!!

Post by Shawn »

Catalogs many times prove to be the definitive source for questions. One such question that has arose several times, even on this forum, is "Was the Fireside made in a Mahogany cabinet?"

I was pursuing an Edison dealer catalog that I just reprinted and came across the attached page.

So yes, they came in Mahogany as of the 1910 Dealer catalog!!! As an additional note, on another page, it shows the Fireside was available Nickel and Gold plated as well!!

How cool to find one of these!!!!

Thanks for posting this. Edison, Victor and other manufactures would produce special orders for whatever the customer wants. Wow, a Mahogany Gem that is gold plated. Now that would be a sight to see. :clover: :clover:
