Edison Fireside with Blue Flowered Horn

Post by Dave D »

Does anyone here have a Fireside with the blue flowered horn from a Standard model E? I would love to see a photo of one.
Thanks!

There was a special foot mounted on the bottom of the case to keep the machine from tipping over. It looks like a typical Edison crane foot, but without the socket for the crane.

I think the picture was shown in one of the Compendium series. Maybe George P. can help out.

Dave, the image you're looking for is in Antique Phonograph Accessories & Contraptions, page 61, Fig. 1-115.

The Edison blue flowered horn is shown in Antique Phonograph Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gimmicks, page 35, Fig. 1-70. :)

This set up will also work with other larger horns.

I've always thought the Fireside with the blue flowered Standard size horn with double feet is one of the most interesting Fireside outfits ever sold. Jerry B.
