How much should I pay for an Edison A100 in Oak?

Post by dennislpr »

Hello everyone, I'm looking at this Edison A100 in Oak. The thing is that the person is asking $150 for it. Is that a good price or I'm overpaying for it, this is going to be my first Edison Diamond Disc machine. Please if you can give me the low end prices for this type of machine, I like to buy stuff that I can always resell fast, not for a profit but at least to break even if I ever decide to upgrade to a better one. Here are some pictures of the machine. What do you think? Thank you.

I wouldn't think twice at this price, assuming it works - especially since this is in oak.

If this were mahogany and in average condition, I doubt I'd pay $150. However, this one is oak and appears well preserved. If it's working well and the diamond is good, the price is more than fair.

Seconded. Oak is less common on these, and I think it makes it more attractive.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering if it was a good deal. I have to drive a couple of hours to get it, by the end of the day is going to cost me around $200 dollars including gas expenses. Do you think $200 still a good price?

This is another option, a guy is selling me this C19 for $200, it is a little closer to me. But I still have to drive like 3 hours, total is going to cost me around $240 dollars. What do you think? Also it come with about 30 records. Which one would you go for the A100 or the C19? Let me know? Here are some pictures.

^^^ Agreed! No competition really, for a variety of reasons.

I'm with Peter and vote C-19. It is classic Diamond Disc styling at its best. Jerry B.
