Columbia K Graphophone front mount disk player
I would like information about the history of the K Graphophone disk player. Was it manufactured by The American Graphophone Co?

What you have is a variation of a Columbia BA machine. They were made between 1906-09. Very interesting machine. There is a picture of one in the first Compendium book by Tim Fabrizio and George Paul.

This was a "Scheme machine" sold through a mail order or department store. The "K Graphophone" used Talk-O-Phone cabinets which came into the American Graphophone Corporation's possession as liquidated damages in their case against the Talk-O-Phone interests.
This cabinet, which like most if not all Talk-O-Phone cabinets was made by the Theodore Kundtz Company, was not a catalogued talk-o-phone machine, but appears often on machines produced by Talk-O-Phone for cother firms, like the Eagle Talking Machine Company of Cleveland, OH. The cabinet is often found as a rear mount, fitted with a two-spring motor and either an unbranded or branded Talk-O-Phone reproducer.
Here is an un-branded front-mount example of this machine:

I thought the cabinet looked familiar. Jerry
