Another cabinet I have questions about. Look!
Here's another cabinet I purchased today. (It was a good day!) It's a large mahogany cabinet, 40" tall, 23.25" wide, and 19" deep. On the inside it is cut every few inches to accommodate many shelves close together or a few as shown. The inside shelves are about 15.5" wide and 16.25' deep. Normally, when I see shelves close together I think it's a sheet music cabinet but I'm not so sure. The shelves are very sturdy and will take quite a bit of weight. There is no indication that there was ever a needle cup on the inside. Is it a sheet music, record, or music box disc cabinet?

Hi Jerry- If all the shelves were in place, are they spaced for piano rolls... Perhaps??

Is it also deep enough for piano roll boxes?

I've been to the Coburg flea market several times and NEVER found ANYTHING as interesting as these pieces! Very cool! CDB

The spacing between cuts for the shelves is a tight 2" apart until you get to the last three and they are wider. Jerry

That would make sense for piano rolls- there are standard size boxes which are up to 2" high, and "Concert" size rolls which can be a good half inch bigger. Piano roll boxes are at least 13 inches deep.Jerry B. wrote:The spacing between cuts for the shelves is a tight 2" apart until you get to the last three and they are wider. Jerry
