I had a similar experience so I contacted Dan's dad, Al Choffnes, who responded quickly. It turns out that Dan has taken a hiatus from this business to focus on his academic career (Dan is an university professor). If you need to get any information on the machine, contact Al at the main Collectors World inc site.

Does anyone know if Collector's World is still in business? I've sent three emails with no reply. Does anyone have a phone number?

I have tried to contact them on a few occasions over the past 2 years and never received an reply. Their site changes, so I think someone is doing something. It seems like email is their only contact, such as it is.

These numbers are old, and might no longer be any good, but:

510/502-9979 cell
510/237-1765 landline

Dan Choffnes is the guy's name.

He's local to me and I'm happy to go inspect stuff for anyone, if desired. I bought a few things from him a few years ago, and he's a decent guy.
