Antique photos of Amberola machines?

Post by Cole »

I Googled for old pictures of amberolas in their native environment but have come up short. Anyone have any old pictures from back when these machines were new?

Hi Cole, welcome to the forum.

Here's a recent post I was able to dig up that has some period photos linked in it, not sure if you've seen this...

Here is a picture of my great grandfather with his Amberola 50 taken around 1920:

Lol, just kidding! That’s just a modern black and white picture of me.

Seriously though, I will keep my eyes open for real antique pictures of the Amberola.

Hi Cole,

I found this surfing the net.
It was labeled "Mr. Simmons at the Piedmont Phonograph Company store - Hickory, North Carolina, 1918."

I have quite a few nice Amberolas.... but I have one Amberola 50 (in OAK) that looks like it was bought/made yesterday. It is a (10 out of 10) condition... I paid $524.00 for it... The most I have paid to date for any phonograph...and I have no regrets!

:o)
