What is this record cabinet?

What is this cabinet,is it a good one? To me it looks early and fancy.

Not sure, but it looks like something with real potential. The lines suggest Herzog to me.

It could be a Udell or a Herzog, both made a cabinet that looks like this one.

It looks like a Herzog No.832. An original catalog illustration is shown on page 90 (Fig. 2-87) of Phonographica. An actual example is pictured on page 189 (Fig. 4-45) of Antique Phonograph Accessories & Contraptions. The next model up was the No.833 in which all 4 sides were rounded. There are photos of one of these here:

I checked Gadgets, Gizmos & Gimmicks, but did not think to look in Phonographica. :)

That veneer will look fairly spectacular once it's been properly restored. The paw feet are very nice also. Just the kind of record cabinet I'd love to find myself.
