Bob---Sorry, I'll be staying here in rural NY and won't make any of the phono shows this year. (I'm taking care of my Dad until he can drive again.) Never been to one phono show yet, either!
Since I had to re-glue about everything on my Hampton, I can tell you that the tone arm was centered in the playing compartment, which was on the right hand side. Brunswick built a fairly clunky/chunky wooden elbow out of maple stock (think butcher-block or, more likely, bowling alley scraps) that was bored out to make the bend to the horn, which is centered in the case. Pretty horn, too, it looks like spruce or maybe just spruce veneer over a poplar substrate. Still---it sounds fine, just make sure to seal up the joint where the horn neck joins to the underside of the compartment board.
