Thanks unfortunately quite a few repro parts, but I was happy to be able to complete it. Now the bird sings again. I love Pathé as well. Seems no two machines are exactly the same, but all look good and the variations are interesting.

It's a reproduction made in Europe. I found the left overs of the original ones that were made in the 70's. I think a couple guys got them. Rene, David Boruff and me.

I have #11. I purchased it from the Phonogalerie in Paris 1 ½ years ago.

I didn't get one of those repros, nice as they are. I'm fortunate to have an original, one of the highlights of my entire collection.

The ones offered by Jalal at Phonogalerie are by far the most accurate replicas made to date. Someone, I'm not sure who or where, started the project in 1977 with the intention of marketing them for the phonograph centennial. They were never finished and languished until 2009 or so when Jalal bought all of them and had them completed by a machinist he knows. They are almost scary good. Fortunately they are marked underneath the main casting. The only detail that falls a tiny bit short is the nameplate riveted to the base. It is not as sharply stamped as original and lacks a serial number.

There were still a couple available at Phonogalerie the last time I was there, in October.
