Low power am transmitter

Post by richardh »

I am looking to do something like what is shown here in this youtube video done by Wyatt ie use a low power am transmitter to play music through my radios...however I am having difficulty finding a suitable transmitter....ebay has not turned up anything suitable even though I have been looking for a while now. Does anyone know where I could try?

RJ,

Check this one out, this is probably what you are looking for: http://www.hobbytron.com/R-AM-1.html

It is in kit form, but it looks like they sell it assembled as well.
Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?

That AM kit looks quite interesting and really not too expensive.

The so called tape-mitter is NOS from the 70's and actually works both with AM and FM (don't ask me how but it does) while the signal strength varies. So, a simultaneous use of both may not work.
I got mine from a guy in Canada who has them in stock. I paid $14.95 for one last year and they do work pretty good with the 1938 radio in the living room.

Just drop me a PM if you need name and e-mail address.

Norman
