Re: "The Success Sausage Machine"
There is an inexplicably long and rich tradition of jokes relating to sausages being made from dogs. Quite a few early movies on the theme the best one being a pet store where dogs go in one end of the box and sausages come out the other. The funny bit comes when a customer wants a pet and the sausages are fed back through the machine to produce dogs!

Amusing drawing. Like taking an axe to an Edison to find the band.
It is drawn with the styles of that eras popular bad boys 'Max and Moritz' or 'Katzenjammer Kids'.
James.

I think there is a bit of morbid humor in this as well -- that looks like a crazed Buster Brown feeding his dog, Tighe into the sausage machine! I wonder what the Brown Shoe Co. thought about that?! I suppose this card is a comment on the exploitation of canines in American advertising!
Great card!
