Texas Antique Phonograph Society?

Question for the APS folks:
Have you guys considered regional chapters, like the NAWCC?
Or maybe regional meets/events like the AFCA? (Antique Fan Collectors Association).
I know the AFCA's annual event, FanFair, is held in a different city every year.

The Antique Phonograph Society lacks the resources to actively sponsor regional chapters, nor is the the APS a fraternal organization by intent (although it certainly is a common outcome!). To see what the APS aims to accomplish, go here:

That said, the APS supports and promotes the activities of regional antique phonograph societies which care to send material to the web site for public consumption. Unfortunately, the APS seldom receives material on upcoming events from regional groups. Here's what the "Future Events" section of the web site looks like at the moment:

All is not lost, though. Here's what the APS has previously posted - - now under "Past Events" (note that there are 3 pages of these listings):

If that weren't enough, the APS is happy to post regional societies' newsletters and reports:

There are a number of regional and parent societies around the U.S. and Canada, any of which can be contacted either through the "Links" section of the APS web site (see below), or through a larger list I can post here if there's interest.

I am also a member of the NAWCC (National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors for those who aren't familiar with the acronym). I think it's important to point out a major difference between the NAWCC and APS: all of the directors and board members of APS are volunteers. There are NO paid positions in the organization. This is in sharp contrast to the NAWCC, which has a current annual budget of almost 1.75 million dollars. Salaries, benefits, and payroll taxes for NAWCC employees run over $500,000 a year. That doesn't count reimbursed travel or professional services.

The current budget for salaries in APS is $0.

I realize this is a response to an older post, but after being in the hobby for about 50 years, it would be nice to have a new show site in Texas or Oklahoma.

It sure would! We have nothing in this area that I'm aware of.

Looks like he's up in Pittsburg. Will definitely be dropping by the next time I head back to East Texas to visit family.
Nothing down here to see except for common machines other than the couple of times I've picked something up from another forum user and admired their collections.
