Phonograph Ring Reducer

Has anyone used a 3-D printer to make, for example, a PHONOGRAPH RING REDUCER for use on a Edison with a horizontal carriage so a C, H or K reproducer can be used? That would be a big improvement on the original pot metal ones.

Have you checked with Ron Sitko to see if he makes aluminum ones?

I just happened to be in a Staples store yesterday, and noticed that they do 3-D printing. Don't know what is involved or how much $, but maybe that's an option (for those of us who can't afford a 3-D printer

)

Are you planning to drill & tap a setscrew hole to retain the reproducer? Can you even do that in 3D printed polymer and expect any strength? How close a tolerance can you achieve on the inside & outside diameters of the ring?

FYI: I just talked to Ron Sitko and he told me that he does make an ALUMINUM Edison Phonograph Ring Reducer. They are $35.00 each. The pot metal originals sell for $35-$50 on Ebay so this is good news.
