Edison Diamond Disc Phono cabinet factory sticker survey

Didn't George Frow list the various "Factory Numbers" and their surmised locations? I'll hafta look for my book .... 33 might have been the Jamestown Mantel Company, 19 was New London, Wisconsin ...etc ... as I recall

On pages 187 and 188, of the Edison Disc Phonographs and the Diamond Discs, he lists the known cabinet manufacturers, but I haven't found a comprehensive list of manufacturing facilities tied into the factory numbers anywhere.

If there is one, I hope someone chimes in and shares it with us, but in the meantime, I'll continue to search for one...

BC34 #4585 - cabinet factory #18 - SN 10078 - no form number

I have not found a sticker on my A80 (it may be on the bottom, though).

So, it looks as if Factory No. 18 was keeping serialized cabinet records as well. Also, we know the "BC34" was a "later" model (relatively speaking; it was introduced in 1922). Interesting.

I'll track Factory No.18 serialized stickers from now on, as well.

I had time to look at my C-19 this afternoon. Serial no. 79240. The paper tag inside the horn compartment reads cabinet no. 19, form 890 no serial number.
