Twin Victor 0's

Post by ColoradoPhonograf »

I thought I would share a couple of photos of a recent purchase. I have a very nice Victor 0 that I was able to obtain from the old Dave Heitz collection many years ago. I recently had the chance to buy another one. Usually, most Vic. 0's from my experience look like they've been drug down a gravel road, or poorly refinished and even poorer horn repaints.
This one in the 13xxx serial number range is redder than mine. Both have all original finishes and horns. I thought they looked great on the table together, temporarily. A collector friend wants it, so it will have a new home soon.
Here are some pics.
Best to all,

I've always like the Victor O. I picked up what I considered a project O and posted photos. Most of the replies suggested I leave it alone with comments like..."it's only original once", and others saying to leave it alone because the horn paint and cabinet finish was part of its history. It wasn't long before I thought I'd give it some more, hopefully good, history. You see the results. My horn color misses the mark but looks nice. I also regret the choice of turntable felt but it looks good and would be easy to change.

O-my!
It's not often to see completed O's that look as nice. :clover:

I agree with you Jerry, replace the felt.
