Misspelled name?

Post by phonophan79 »

You think they'd pick a new name rather than a misspelled one?

http://www.gramaphonerecords.com/

Although http://www.gramophonerecords.com/ is already taken as well.

;)

Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?

Is the word Gramophone still copyrighted?

Brings to mind the old joke:

"This is my Grammaphone- I got it from my Gramma"

There's the Omaha-based label called American gramophone that has released albums by Mannheim Steamroller (and a few others) since the mid-1970s.

I’d have assumed so, but at least they were consistent. After browsing the site a bit I wondered if perhaps they did it as a mistake and not intentionally, but I’ve no idea if that is the reality or not.

Personally, I think it’d be a bad idea to intentionally misspell the name of your business, particularly for a website where there’s another site not affiliated with yours that has the correct spelling. Want to bet on how much traffic of theirs goes to the one that’s spelled properly? :D
