Craigslist AlertS PLURAL!

Post by Aaron »

Ok so last night i couldnt sleep so i was ambitious and went through most of the mayjor cities craigslists searching for phonographs. I fell asleep after Phenoix so if you want to, search from there. Some of these are good deals and some are priced at a price WE would sell them for but if you really want it, go get it because i cant ;)

I'm glad you posted the link to the Amberola 30. I've been after a picture of one with original grille cloth & looks as though this one has it!

at any given time, there are a lot of phonographs available on craigslist and the deals fly across the spectrum in terms of good and bad just as the caliber of machine (rarity, condition, etc.) does the same.

you've posted some duplicates in that big list, and most of the rest are really not such great machines, let alone deals price-wise.

Are you sure you didn't push the same link twice? I can only find one Model A & one Model B home.

Hey G.S.----assuming the side of the horn we cannot see is not damaged----if I end up making a final offer of $625.00, is that wise? Michael

You tell me Mike. I don't know what price things go for on the other side of the planet. It wouldn't be bad deal here. The horn alone would sell for $250-300 in Oz, and it looks as though it might have a 4 min recorder on it too. (although if they've been trying to play cylinders, the cutter is probably shot & I don't think you can get new 4 min cutters)

Hello G.S.-----I cannot figure out the proper estmated prices on this side of the planet either. Thanks for your input----I will pursue it. Michael BTW the story you told on another thread concerning your father and his siblings is remarkable.THAT is how opinions and world views are formulated in one's life. No cylinder or record can ever make that point in time a "happy" one. Thanks

:?: The two listings that have "home" phonographs are listed at $400-$500, what is $625?
