What got you started in the hobby?

My father owned (and still has it) a Victrola 4-3 that he bought in the 1970s at a barn auction. When I came along in the 90s he noticed I took a liking as a toddler to watching the records spin on the turntable and play, so he was the one who got me started collecting records and knowing the basics of how to care for them and the machines to play them on. From there, I was able to explore his collection of records (78s, Diamond Discs and cylinders), so I actually ended up collecting those before I got into collecting vinyl!
