I don't know if public transit would do it or not from NYC short of Greyhound or something, but here is the website with maps and directions that may be of some help:

New Jersey Transit has train service to Wayne/Rt. 23 Transportation Center from NY Penn Station. See http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet. ... chedulesTo

Looks like most trains involve a transfer at Newark Penn Station.

I can't advise you how to use mass transit, however, New Jersey Transit has a stop in Wayne, walking distance from the show. You can catch their trains from Penn Station in NY. Weekend schedules are abbreviated, but Wayne is on fairly busy line.

Routes, times, and fares can be found:

Thank you all very much for the input! As I said, if I can talk my travel partner into coming (and he loves antique shows, so that might not be difficult) I'll go to Penn Station and see what I can do. If I do show up you may be able to tell it's me by my shaved head and grayish-brownish goatee. I might wear my Gallup Fire and Rescue T-shirt too (but I can't swear to that). So anyone, feel free to come up and say "hello".

By the way, my name is Carl, so you won't have to call me "bbphonoguy".

All right, I've checked the schedules, and apparently there are no trains to Wayne on Sunday the 11th. Maybe I could take a train to Paterson and catch a cab from there?

If anyone has suggestions I'm open.

By the way, great photo Sean. I like the framed art in the background too. What's on the DD?

My mistake, make that Newark Broad Street station. But, as you discovered, there are no trains on Sunday. Guess NJ shuts down on weekends.
