NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... that's just sad. I was getting excited after the first couple of photos, then that one, of the right side, no veneer whatsoever... I wonder what the story is behind that catastrophe... because the rest of the cabinet looks pretty good to me.

I've seen some furniture with similar damage- one side ruined but everything else intact. In one case the piece had been next to a steam radiator and the combination of heat and water vapor ruined the veneer. Sun damage can be almost as bad- I've seen a square grand piano that sat in front of a window for decades- all the rosewood veneer facing the light was ruined.
