I have a Columbia reproducer that I have not seen before. It brings to mind the early 'Concert' reproducer c.1912-1915. Is it a contemporary or cousin of that model?
Thanks! Cliff

It works very well. Hear it play on YouTube:

What it looked like when I got it.

Re: Columbia Reproducer ID?
Can anyone tell me the approximate date this model reproducer was used? It has a mica diaphragm, I'm guessing early-mid 'teens??
Thanks! Cliff

At the moment I can't access it; but according to illustrations I have seen in Baumbach & Lackey's book, that reproducer is found on many Grafonolas from the early/mid 'teens.

It looks like the same reproducer that was on my ultra rare Columbia Europa that I sold years ago and wish I hadn't.Lucius1958 wrote:At the moment I can't access it; but according to illustrations I have seen in Baumbach & Lackey's book, that reproducer is found on many Grafonolas from the early/mid 'teens.

EDIT: Did a search, and dang- here it is on our little dining room table. I had fun restoring it as it was a basket case when I got it. It was a very late outside horn machine, with later parts on it than any others I could find on the WWW had, and I was able to save the original logo. Mixing the paint to match exactly was a real exercise too.
But there's your reproducer.
