Vitinola

Post by Edisonfan »

Last week I cam across a phonograph, that I thought said Vitniola and Chicago Phonograph company. Was there ever a brand name as this? It was a small floor model, disc machine? Any help would be appreciated? Sorry, I forgot too take pictures.

I've never heard of a Vitniola, but there is a Vitanola. Are you spelling this correctly?

Agree. It sounds like it may be a Vitanola. It's listed and illustrated on this page -- http://www.antiquephono.org/brand-talki ... j-wakeman/

402. Vitanola – Vitanola Talking Machine Company, 17 North Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. February 1915 TMW

Does it look like this?

"You can't take the phonographs nor the money with you, but the contentment the phonographs bring may well make your life better, and happier lives make the world a better place."

Well, obviously I could not spell the name correctly.

Anyway, thank you for the information. :D

It is the small one, on the top left George.
