I thought I'd post a few pictures of my latest purchase for the collectors who like the big floor models. I looked through Mr. Wakeman's book and didn't see anything on Model P-15 so thought someone might have some information or advertising they could help add some detail on this model. It's about the same size as a Cortez. The reproducer is all apart and is packed up to send off to hopefully get rebuilt. Thanks to those who like these big guys.

Sorry, I don't have any information about the P-15. I sure know a beautiful cabinet when I see one. Hopefully, it will sound as good as it looks. Congratulations on such a great find.

Yes, congratulations! I know many of us who love early electronics would be interested to see the chassis, tubes, and wiring. I didn't see the electromagnetic pickup. Did the machine come with that as well?

I've only spotted a couple of references so far, just some Australian newspaper print ads from 1929 mentioning the model P.15 --

Thanks for your comments and links. The pickup, or at least parts of it, are in the plastic bag in the 1st picture that was on CL.
I shipped it off today with the hope that it can be repaired. Here are additional pictures, not the best, but no one is available to help move it.

Inside it looks just like the P-14 I used to own. The P-14 used the "Cortez" cabinet.. This three tube amp is also the same one used in the Victor VE 12-1 "CROMWELL". One UX-216 rectifier, one UX-210 output tube and one UX-199 in a shock mounted carrier.

I took this machine to a local gentleman to have it checked over, and he is unable to find a schematic for it to allow him to get it fixed up. He found info on the RPA 5 and 6 but nothing for the RPA 7A which is in this machine. He cross checked the layout with other schematics and had no luck finding a match.

If anyone has a schematic for the RPA 7A that will allow him to get this machine working, I'd be thrilled to purchase a copy.

Thanks for checking on this-- Steve

You just may have to replace bad components without an official schematic.
What is the tube complement?
