Edison Reproducer Issue...Help!!

Post by pellicano1 »

Hey all. I have an Edison A100 player and 2 DD reproducers as shown in photo. The one reproducer works fine. The other scratches and skips the records. I noticed the pivot pin is riding too low. Is there a way to adjust this on the reproducer itself? I also added another felt layer to the platter but didnt help much. Thanks!

Also, anyone know who sells the diamond stylus at a reasonable price?

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

If one works fine and the other does not, your height is probably correct. It's likely that your stylus is toast and the reproducer needs in addition to a stylus, a new gaskets and a diaphragm.

Below is a link to a manual which explains how to adjust the height of your reproducer. However you adjust the height of the horn, no adjustments on the reproducer.

Steve Medved has new styli and can do the rebuild for you. I sent you his email address by PM.
