BZH Hornless Gear Question

I am in need of a governor drive gear for the motor in the pictures. As it was a Columbia product, I am hoping that the gears Ron sells will work. Does anyone know for sure? Harvey? Are you reading this? LOL

Dave, just came home. If it is the fiber gear, Ron Sitko sells them. In a previous thread, I gave detailed instruction on how to install them.

Thanks, Harvey. I was hoping it was the same gear. I have installed many of them, just never on a motor like this.

It's basically the same as any other Columbia motor. These Columbia pillar and plate motors are very finicky. Everything has to be lined up exactly right, or the motor will bind up. Also, the new gear can strip. However, once everything is lined up, and correct, they are good runners.

Interesting: I suppose they used whatever motor was available. Mine has a motor mounted on a casting.

And indeed, adjusting those gears can be very tricky (especially if it has a bevel gear with it).
