Call me quick draw Tim

Post by chrisg »

Looking on craigslist this morning I saw an ad for a antique record player and record cabinet for $600.00. The pictures showed a nice victor one but it was missing the horn. And a nice music stand. It was listed just 27 minutes previously. Well I call and get address and she is about one hour away . I looked it over. Cabinet was refinished at some time. Wrong reproducer, has a victrola no.2 . I have an original horn that someone painted white. Well two hours after she listed it, it was in my truck heading home. I think i like the cabinet more than the vic 1

Killer cabinet! Can you post some pics of the sides, top and inside please? I notice the top doesn't seem to be symmetrical (front to back???). I just now noticed the mirror attached to the back of the cabinet.

Congratulations,
Bob

I have a cousin to that cabinet. Made by the Forest Glen Furniture Co. I was just looking for something to put my DVD and Cable crap in and found it on Offer-up for $50.

Kurt, I'll give ya $65 my cabinet has a mirror, otherwise identical . I have a neighbor who is a master wood carver and woodworker. I am considering converting it into a cylinder record cabinet. and having him make the trays and mechanism.
On a side note. he is carving me a victor MD case using only the picture in "look for the dog"

Jesus! Man I wish I could find a cabinet like this or similar in my area. All I have around me is junk!
