So my friends what's the best method to clean this beautiful reproducer?

I agree with JerryB. Just gently wipe it. Don't rub. That finish is razor thin.

Personally, I would tend to leave it alone.

I agree, and further, that looks to be a relatively early reproducer - given the gold plating is very similar in appearance to the earliest reproducers I've examined. Is it the version with a "screw-plate" that holds the stylus onto the floating weight?

yes it is 4 screws on bottom. Would you just leave it the way it is . Here's pictures. Little rough looking no ? Thanks for the help

If it were mine, I'd gently clean it with ammonia as others suggest. Try it out on an inconspicuous place, first, and judge the results.

If you're not pleased with it afterwards, you can always look for a nicer one to display. A lot of these earlier ones look like this, so a historically correct replacement in better condition could be a challenge - and get pricey.

Out of curiosity, what model machine is it with?
