Edison model C Standard

I picked this up a while back and is this a C Standard ? I have a friend who has a C but his plate has a space for the letter C. Model C mine the c is after the seral number. And it is in a B case. Pictures not the best But I hope they help. Seral number is 85374 C Jerry

Yep - that's a Model C Standard. The correct number is 685374. At first I thought it was early production (1908), but the number suggests 1909. The first Standard Model Ds came in a B-type case as well.
