Happy Veteran's Day

Post by Phonofreak »

Veteran's Day is coming up again. Let us get our machines ready and play our Patriotic songs on disc and cylinder in honor of this important day. This is to remind us of the sacrifices our brave men and women have done to secure our Freedoms.

In the UK November 11th is known as Armistice Day, and the second Sunday in November is known as Remembrance Sunday. This year the two commemorations fall on consecutive days, and are always extensively covered on national television.

I added two patriotic marches recorded in 1929 by the Victor Military Band to my YouTube channel this morning and dedicated them to the Veterans on the Talking Machine Forum. I hope in these days of extreme political divisions we can at least all agree to honor our Veterans. And, a special thank you to the forum Vets!

I just want to say, "Thank you for your service" to all of you Veterans! You have my gratitude.

Cheers,
