Cliff's Vintage Music Shoppe is Finally OPEN!

Post by CDBPDX »

Just opened my Vintage Music Shoppe in Castle Rock, WA., specializing is sales and repair of spring motor phonographs and the records and cylinders to play on them. Just getting started, so still working on a few things, haven't quite figured out a regular schedule for shoppe hours except for Saturday - 11:00 - 3:00. Mostly by appointment until I actually get moved up to Castle Rock. Right now, I still live in Portland. Also, I still have 2-10' x 15' storage units to haul up to the shoppe from Portland, a little at a time, so there is a lot more coming.

You can view the shoppe information here:

This is a part time endeavor for me. Mostly, my time there will be spent tinkering in the back of the shoppe trying to get a truckload of phonographs I just bought up and running, but if you're in the neighborhood, stop in and say hello.

Yes, very nice. Best of luck with your endeavor.

BTW: your Columbia Viva-Tonal console appears to be a Model 520 from what I can see.

Thanks

Congratulations on opening your shop! I would be by to browse were I not about as far away as you can be and still be in the lower 48.

Just received a very nice video showcasing my Shoppe in Castle Rock, WA from VintageInUSA:

Open Saturday from 11:00-4:00 or by appointment or randomly as new phonographs are added.

Mostly, I spend my time in the back room rebuilding phonographs or taking folks on a mini-tour of the history of spring motor phonographs from a 1905 Edison Standard to a late model Brunswick Seville.

Haven't really sold anything yet, but it's fun to demostrate the machines and listen to cylinders and records. Plus I get to spend the day dinking around with the machines. Very cool!
