Victrola VV 35 - does it share any parts with other Victors?

Post by De Soto Frank »

I am trying to sort-out a VV-35 for a friend.

Wrong crank, bodged Ortho reproducer (should be # 2), one governor spring was replaced and is too long...

Does the VV-35 share any of the above parts with any other Victor machines ?

Am trying to broaden my internet searches if I can...

Thanks...

Not sure about the crank but I'm pretty sure that the reproducer and governor springs are universal. Even so, the VV-35 is pretty easy to find so parts should be readily available.

Good luck!

I see that the VV-35 incorporated the angle correction in the J-tube, which is good. Also picked up a set of handle holder hardware for $18, so still in it for less than $150 and still a great deal. Gonna move the ID plate back inside where it came from. As for the Chilean ortho reproducer and J-tube, that's wrapped and stuffed in the horn for now.
The above is from a previous posting of mine. Not sure how to link this reply to that previous posting.
