Being Thankful for what we have!

Post by Zwebie »

I sooooo wanted to go to the Stanton Auction this year!
(But I had previous commitments and couldn't attend).

I was just sulking in my living room thinking about all the wonderful phonographs there, and which ones I would love to own.
Just then I noticed how the light was coming in the window, spotlighting my Victor "B". I looked up, then looked around my room at all the wonderful machines I own, and felt humbled.

Sometimes, especially this time of the year, we just need to sit back and be very thankful for what we already have!

Respectfully, Bob S.

You are 100% correct in counting our blessings. I toured Paul Reveres home in Boston and while in the bedroom I asked about their clothes from the guide. She stated most people had two out fits and were lucky to have three. All the clothes fit into a chest in the bedroom and the furniture was also sparse. I am out of storage space at my house looking for a place to put two new machines. This is a rough life figuring out where to cram something more. Happy thanks giving to everyone. Tom B

I am thankful for more than I can express here. In our quests for more treasures, I think that we will be happiest if we remember to appreciate what we already have and remember that material ownership is only temporary and of no lasting significance. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Happy Thanksgiving, to y'all!

I'm grateful for being blessed with not just the items I possess, but for the people who have helped me along with my journey. You know who you are! :)

Cheers!

Wishing everyone on the forum a very Blessed Thanksgiving.
I have more than I deserve and am humbled, grateful, and thankful for a home filled with love and peace, a wife of 27 years who is a great blessing, and four wonderful children who will all be home with us.
Who needs more than that?

Gene
