Hello,
Awhile back I purchased a Recordio 6b30. I have had all the capacitors replaced, and all the tubes except for the rectifier. I was told it was okay. However, there is still a hum that is pretty loud. It is especially deafening when on "radio" mode. Could it be anything else?
Thanks!

Re: Recordio Hum Radio
. . . wondering if perhaps polarity is off on one or more of the new cap connections? In any case, this type of issue would be best directed to this forum, which I personally have found very helpful for radio/electronic issues: http://www.antiqueradios.com/forums/index.php
Good luck!

??????
Anyway, still sounds exactly like a bad filter capacitor.
