Just wanted to update the story- I was able to find the correct parts for this machine on eBay. Haven't run it yet- I still need to adjust the motor and rebuild the reproducer, as well as get some needles and records.

Thanks to JerryB for selling me the appropriate gold crank, sending me some free reproducer gasket material, and for all of his help with identifying parts for this Victrola neophyte.

Wow Andy! Very nice! It's a way more interesting machine than the later versions. Good luck with the adjustments.

I agree, very nice and wonderful that you were able to find the missing parts on a relatively rare machine.

I have a nice oak XIV of the next model I am fond of but an early one like yours would look great sitting next to it. My renewed interest in phonos may have me on the lookout for an early 14 model. I like the pull-out shelf and the vertical record slats.

Me three! I like those early XIVs - a very cool machine.

Great looking machine and thanks for the kind comments. I've always been fond of the early Victrolas. Each model is unique. It wasn't long before all the Victrola uprights looked like brothers from the same family. Jerry Blais
