Graduola Illustration
Does anyone out there have a drawing or picture of the workings of a graduola control? The machine I have has the working mechanism, that moves the plunger (damper) up and down into the tone arm. Is there supposed to be any felt or rubber on the plunger to deaden the sound?

I have not had mine apart in many many years but I do remember the pink rubber (pink, like a "pinky" ball) attached to the end of the cable but there was also a pink flange between the tonearm bracket and the motorboard.

Re: Graduola Illustration
Mine appears to be a fluted wooden plunger (no rubber) with the rod extending through it to be inserted in the guide in the original arm. Since the arm is not the original (I assume the pot metal rotted away)the degree of sound change in minimal (maybe 5 Db) My question, since intact original arms are rare, am I better off leaving well enough alone or modifying the plunger assembly just to get the effect of the Graduola?
