This does work well and attaches quickly. The best way is to mask off most of the back side of the grill, except for a thin strip around the edge, ⅛ inch or so. Then spray the adhesive only around the edge. This avoids the cloth sticking to the whole frame and making it very difficult to cleanly remove in the future.

With the A series DD machines and Amberolas though I prefer not to cover them even though they usually had cloth originally. :monkey:
