I have noticed that at the end of a record the weight limit pin on my DD reproducer is close to the wire on the left side. It starts out in the middle. It seems that the rack doesn't move the tone arm at the same rate as the record groove. Is this normal with most players? I'm concerned that if it hits the wire it will cause the needle to skip in the record. On longer songs it gets very close. Thanks,
Wayne

See the Edison motor manual in the Archives section of the forum: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ?f=2&t=476 Under "Repeating and It's Remedy" it mentions how to deal with it by carefully bending the horn tube backward or forward.
This Edison motor service manual that MordEth posted has been invaluable to me.

Have you checked to see if your machine is sitting level?
