Need Info- Correct Grille Cloth For Edison B-19 Chalet?
Possibly picking one up for a friend with obvious replacement grille cloth. Anyone have any ideas as to what's original and where I might find a close replacement? Thanks much.

I have a Chalet in natural gumwood finish that has an original though ratty grillecloth. I've kept it that way nonetheless, and you can see in the pictures below how much fading has occurred from what was an original green color to more of a grey-gold color in the exposed areas.
The dark green color is most apparent in the front, under the wooden grill.
If I were to replace this, I'd prefer the faded look, rather than a new green cloth, simply so it would reflect the age of the phonograph and not shout "new" from across the room! Others would prefer the darker original color, I'm sure.
I'd stay away from any patterned material or anything too shiny. I've tried some of the cloth offered on Ebay but wasn't happy with it. Drapery lining material might be a good bet.
Good luck with your project!

Thanks to both of you. Is there a chance that Don's is a really old replacement, or were there different gumwood finishes that took different color cloth? The one I used to have and the one I am looking at for my friend both seem darker than the one Bob posted. Actually, I prefer the lighter color- it's quite striking.

A google image search suggests that both colors were correct. As were Bob's lighter color woodwork and my darker red.
