In another topic, a discussion seems to evolving regarding searchlight horns. I just got my first, and I am hooked. I think that these look like something out of a Jules Verne novel, and I have mine on my Edison Triumph now. While not correct for my Model D, I think that it looks nifty. The paint on my horn may be original or an old repaint, and it is in surprisingly good condition.
So, please post your searchlight horn photos if you have them, as well as any pertinent info, including original advertisements. I found this link to an advertisement for these horns, and here is mine.

Mike,
If you go to the bottom of this page as enter "searchlight" (no quotes) in the search field, you'll find lots of threads on these horns. here are a couple of good ones:

http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ht#p102156
http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ght#p25705
Steve Andersen in Florida has a killer example, but I don't see it on this forum. It may have been posted elsewhere 8-9 years ago. Steve, if you're lurking here, please post a photo of that horn.

I don't think that's a Searchlight horn, but rather a regular European style "peacock" horn that was also supplied with some Columbia client machines like the Royal.briankeith wrote:Not me

Here are a couple of horns. Love the ribs and that bulbous bulge. Thanks for starting this post. Steve L.
