I think the 130 is the only model that had that drawer... the 230 and 330 lowboy versions have standard needle cups... and that's pretty much the only real difference between the XVII and the 130, the needle cup/drawer design and location, and the latter also has fancier knobs.

I've never owned a XVII, but I have a walnut 130 that I bought from Jerry B here on the forum. I love it. The cabinet is a nice design and the needle cup/drawer is interesting. It is in the same room with my mahogany XVIII, and my wife wants me to sell one of them.......just cant part with either yet (she hasn't applied enough pressure ).
